Our members

We are proud to have an inclusive membership that includes every type of school trust. Academies were designed to do things differently, and we celebrate the diversity within trusts and their ability to flexibly meet the needs of their communities.

Our membership fees are designed to be affordable for all trusts, regardless of their size, and we encourage our members to work with each other. Our annual trust sector survey has repeatedly found trusts do just that - as well as providing support to maintained schools and working closely with local government, the NHS, charities, and other organisations to help children get the best start in life.

The map below shows our member trusts, covering the whole of England - the majority of children in England attend an academy, and our members educate more than four million children daily.

Trusts are located using their head office location, but can have schools in other areas. The data is correct as of July 2025.
